What makes this project for INSITE IT so special is the extremely high quality of the data that is given to Insite LMS. Within the first three months after the project start-up, 10,000 parts list items have already been imported. The parts list is completely linked to the logistics. This means that each project participant sees where each piece currently is. The breakdown of the individual process steps makes it possible to retrieve the stock levels, the packaging progress, the pick-up date and the expected delivery date. The advantage of this is that the project team has full control through valid data and can act quickly and take appropriate actions if necessary.
An international Clean-Tech company, as a single general contractor, received an order to build an EfW plant, including construction works. Approximately 570,000 tons of household and commercial waste are recycled, which covers the energy demand of around 170,000 households. As one of the top plants in Europe, it has an energy efficiency of 31%. Reaching this value was, among other things, the requirement for the contractor to be able to win the tender.
The result: Insite LMS delivered correctly linked and valid data from which correct action instructions can be derived due to the detailed basic data. In the entire process, there are no more media breaks as each process step is always referenced to the basic data and as data are only supplemented and not rewritten. The integration of Insite LMS into the plant construction project clearly showed how simple it is not only to digitize a process, but to further optimize it.
