"Material Planning Run" in Insite LMS

Buildability analysis functionality of Insite LMS was developed especially for piping construction. Using it, you can determine at the push of a button which pipe systems can be built with the bulk material that has already been stored or will soon be delivered. Both the material view (Which bulk material is where/coming when?) and the view of a specific pipe system (Can I build at time x with the material available at that time?) are covered in Insite LMS. For this purpose, the material number is used as a key in all phases (from engineering to ordering and packaging to installation).

To perform buildability analysis, a so-called Material Planning Run is started in Insite LMS:

  • The planned installation date is specified and
  • it is defined which materials are to be taken
into account (actually in stock, those in supply,
    ordered).

For the pipe systems that are to be built on a desired installation date, the necessary materials can be reserved immediately after the planning run.
